My soon to be ex son in law is up on charges for having sex with an underage girl. The police initially said this was his first offence. However, looking back to earlier this year, he adamantly refused to do a CRB when asked to by his church choir. In fact he was about to be asked to leave the choir for his refusal to do a CRB. Is there anyway we can find out or surely the police should know if he has been in trouble before. Also he has an identical twin brother -what are the chances that if he got charged he gave his brother's name? Di

The police have full access to the records so if they say there is nothing recorded, no CRB check would find anything.

How do you mean he used his brother's name? His brother would certainly know about it

Thanks for your response. I wasn't sure why he was so detrermined not to complete a CRB if he had nothing to hide - hmmm I guess we will never know.

As for his twin, who was out of the picture for several years as the family disowned him, I had just wondered if my son in law had given police his name rather than his own. The twin may not know if he has never had to complete a CRB or if he never received a custodial sentence. I don;t know the system at all and so was just specualting as to whether this was even possible.

Thanks again
