I am planning on proposing to my partner in january which will be on the anniversary of when we met.

From discreetly quizzing her I know her ideal setting is somewhere in this country. I know she likes snowy settings and with it being still winter in January I am thinking north of the border in the hope it will be white somewhere.

What I am trying to find is a nice location I can book in a nice scenic place and this is my reason for coming on here.

Can anyone reccommend somewhere they have stayed? that would make a beautiful location to propose, I am not planning on asking her in a restaurant over dinner but something a bit different.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Hi, You can either walk up Snowdon or take your car to the shortest walk that is to the top of LLanberis pass, depending what part of the uk you are, If the weather is clear you can see 5 Kindoms, Scotland, England, Ireland, I.O .Man.
Kingdoms
Afternoon tea at Sharrow Bay. Fantastic view across Ullswater with a view of the Helvellyn range. Probably be snow up top at least in January (there is now)
A beautiful location in rural cumbria would be Hall Hills, it is a converted group of 17th century barns only opened in May and provides luxury 4 and 5 star accommodation in sophisticated seculsion with uninterrupted views across the Roe Valley.

Check out The Folly if you want that 'wow factor' and something a bit different. The website is www.hallhills.co.uk
