Wireless connection
We have a number of laptops and also a couple of different wireless networks because the laptops are used in different (neighbouring) buildings.
The laptops are therefore set up to use any of the wireless networks.
The trouble is, they automatically connect to the weaker network rather than the network in the same building. Is there any way to make them automatically connect to the strongest network?
Also, there is the problem that if someone has been working happily on a laptop connected to the weaker network, they then try and print. Then can't print because the printer is on the wireless network in the same building. This person doesn't realise that they are not on the right wireless network and is baffled by the printer not working.
Is there a way to have the computer notify the user that they can't print because they are connected to another wireless network? Or is there a way to have the computer automatically connect or prompt to connect to the correct wireless network when you try to print?

no you can't set it to always connect to the strongest, you can change the preferred order of connection though.
open the control panel click on classic mode and then open network connections, right click on the wireless connection and select view available wireless networks.
Then on the left click change order of preferred networks, in the list of networks you can move them about using the move up and down buttons.
Windows will always connect to the highest one in the list first if more than one is in range.
