I think it's absolutely shocking and shameful that police officers are members of the BNP. I have written to the party telling them that if these people are not removed immediately they will lose my vote.

If it is a rule that if you are a member of the BNP then you cannot become a Police Officer, that's fair enough. I do believe one cannot be a member of any political party if one is a Police Officer.

But this whole matter is becoming a 'Witch Hunt' reminiscent of the MaCarthy communist which hunt of the 50s.

I have even heard that some school teachers are also being 'investigated' cries of "I would not want a child of mine being taught by a member of the BNP".

At the moment some children are being 'brainwashed' by left-wing teachers and nothing is being said.

At the moment some Muslim young people are being 'brainwashed' by extreme Mulim Clerics and nothing is being said.

But I have never heard of BNP member teachers instilling their charges with far-right indoctrinations.

If 'Far Left' parties such as the Communist Party, who have even more blood on their hands than the Nazi party, and extreme Muslims, who also have much blood on their hands can teach our young, why cannot the BNP who are just 'pussy cats' in comparison.

You're kidding, surely???

wasp- Re-read your post and it sounds like a genuine statement that you see all the time on AB. As I don't really know you as a regular, then it was lost on me I'm afraid.
I think you've misunderstood, AOG.

The reason people don't want to see BNP members teaching children isn't because they might pass on their views to the kids. It's the knowledge that when there are black or Asian kids in the class, the teacher actively wants rid of them.

That doesn't really apply to other parties.

The world is full of vicious scum.

Just that one particular bunch thinks you're stupid enough to let them run the country.

Like I said earlier - I'm sure you wouldn't find it so funny if you'd been at the end of some of their violence.

Still it doesn't matter really because they don't stand a snowball's chance in hell of achieving any power.

They got les than 5% of the votes in the European Election in 2004 les than a third of what even UKIP got.

To make things even funnier UKIP rejected any deal with them and expelled the member who suggested it.

When you're too barking mad even for the UKIP you might as well give up and go home!

Perhaps the violence is because they get so cross of everybody laughing at them

It's the knowledge that when there are black or Asian kids in the class, the teacher actively wants rid of them.

What a load of rubbish. Have you any proof that any teacher has had a wish to get rid of Black or Asian kids.

But there are many teachers who would like to get rid of disruptive kids, but they have to bite the bullet and let things carry on.

Why should the BNP be any different if they tried they would soon be out on their ear way before anything untowards happened.

With your reasoning you might say that "should a Gay teacher be allowed to teach Boys in case he tries to inflict his sexuality upon them"?

I was just pointing out that that's the reaosn people don't like the idea of them teaching their kids.

It's called a conflict of interest.

There's an inherent conflict in being a member of a party that believes in the repatriation of non-whites and having to treat the non-whites in your class as equals.
