Hope that helps!

Port Out, Starboard Home by Michael Quinion.

"Bob's your uncle" and "brass monkey weather" are also explained online, but do yourself a favour and buy the book - it's an excellent read.

I like Brewers Dictionary of Phrase and Fable.

I recently bought a book called "Red Herrings and White Elephants" - I find it much better than Brewer's Phrase & Fable as it actually gives you the history rather than just a definition.
