I only watch S C D for the entertainment value that John Sargent brings to the programme, I know he can't dance, he knows it, the judges know it, the viewers know it, but they like him....I hope he wins! Once he goes then so will I, along with probably half the rest of the viewers. Long live PROPER entertianment!
He is earning his 30k fee by entertaining us. I would much rather his buffoonery than the ego-chasing goons who take themselves far too seriously and cry/injure themselves at every given opportunity.
If you only watch it for the precise dancing skill, then just make the most of the professional interludes.
He is being voted for - who is to say it's a 'sympathy' vote? The votes are votes, they are no qualified by virtue of the reason for the call.
Let's not take it all too seriously shall we?
If you don't agree, why not watch Jonathan Ross's show, or listen to Russell Brand on Radio 2 - they qre both entertainment shows as well I understand.
I think it is an absolute hoot, when the mealy mouthed so called judges get their come uppance.
Long live John, I will vote for him on Saturday as many times as I can, Wouldn't it be great if he got into the Final, the judges said they would resign if he did, so I suppose the phone count could be manipulated to get the result the programme makers want
No he shouldn't withdraw, he was chosen to participate in the programme and has every right to be there! Granted he may not be the best dancer but he has given the viewers entertainment and proved that you don't have to be tall dark and handsome to appeal to the public! The public are spending their money to vote and they are entitled to keep on whoever they choose! His partner Christina has been plummeted into the limelight as well, its not every day you get to dance with a respected political broadcaster who has intervewed Prime Ministers and Statesmen! Keep Dancing!
If only he would keep dancing. If only he would BEGIN dancing. Every week he clomps around the floor, each dance looks the same and if you lot consider that entertainment, I think you need to get a life.
