Fickle Laptop?

For some reason my laptop doesn't like me visiting certain websites. I know that sounds dodgy but it's not I assure you. I tried clicking on a link someone gave in answer to another question I posted on here and it came up with the "Internet Explorer has encounted a problem and needs to close" pop up error report. It has done this a number of times on certain websites but not on others and I was just wondering why? Could anyone explain please?

P.S. Examples of websites I'm having trouble with are my local library, a coach tour operator and a dating website if this helps!

clilck on the help menu and select about and it will tell you.

if it's not version 7 then upgrade to the latest version

It is version 7.
I tried clicking on the link you gave before I found what version I was using and I got the pop up error message (again)!
So frustrating!

I just don't think my laptop likes me going on any other site except AB!

What level of Internet security are you using. Open up an intenet page, go to >tools>internet options>security. Try changing to a lower level to see if it makes any difference.Mine is set at medium.I don't know if the privacty tab next to the security tab would make a difference, but my privacy tab is also set to medium.

I'm still having problems, it's so frustrating! I can't do anything I want!
