would you sell your kidney for cash?

this topic came up in our canteen and caused quite a mix of reactions! i didnt know it was even possible, cant imagine selling one, but if a family member needed it then i woud definatley donate!!

I would be pretty desperate to sell mine for money- but I guess it depends how much you needed the money and what for! I would give one to a family member without hesitation though.

I totaly agree with Scarlett, if it meant feeding a family as is often the case in the Indian sub continent.

P.S I would ask the surgeon to be sure that I had 2 kidneys before the operation.......well before.

if i had a good kidney i would give it away free if it could and i knew it would save a life.

I would definitely not sell one of my kidneys for cash. It hurts me to see so many young indian adults selling theirs; you can see photos of them sporting the scar like a trophy!
All would depend on the family member but I guess if it was someone younger I'd consider it. If it was a child I wouldn't hesitate.
