Anyone else pi**ed off with this?
I use a Freecom USB multi format burner and Nero Ultra. I tried Asda DVD's none were recognised, I then used Tesco's offerings and all was fine until halfway through the spindle now none will burn. So I Googled and bought what I thought were the best - Taiyo Yuden. So far only 2 of the 1st 25/100 have burnt and the 2nd was such poor quality the AVI file on my DIVX player is barely watchable. It's a rip off isn't it? Nothing wrong with my hardware or settings just cr*p media being sold as good. I've spent 50 on various blank DVD's recently and only a few of the 100's bought work.
What combination of hardware/software & media work for you?
Is it fraud if you're sold a hundred and only 2 work, if you bought a 100 of anything and only received 2 of them you'd sue right?

Think i'd suspect something was wrong with the method being used to burn them.
Does sound like might be the writer.

I've never tried Taiyo Yuden ones - although they are supposed to be top quality.
I bought some cheapo ones once - never again. Have always used Verbatim since without the inkling of a problem
...if you're sold a hundred and only 2 work...

...then I'd question my method or my DVD burner.

OK, thanks.
I've since checked and my Phillips DVD recorder burns perfectly to a random selection of the DVD's the PC rejected so it must be USB burner as Nero has always worked fine and it's a fresh intallation. Anyone like to buy a Freecom multi format DVD burner? only 2 years old - going cheap!
