Chinese word encoder tool?

Hi, my computer recently went bust so i lost everything and all the software, so i had to reinstall everything again. But i've been trying to find a website to download the 'language encoding tool thing', cos i can only see squares and other shapes when i go to chinese web pages, so can anyone help me find a good encoding tool cos i did it last time and it was really good but i can't find it anymore! I've tried google and everything. Please help me find one, please!! Much appreciated! Thx!

Sorry turquoise, but it really makes me mad when people ask questions about their computers and don't even bother to mention important details like which operating system they are using.

If you are using XP you could try:

Control panel
Regional and Language Options
Languages
Tick the boxes for Supplemental language support

sorry yeah i'm using windows xp, i done the control panel thing, but i'm still not able to read e-mails in chinese, but only the websites such as yahoo.hk etc. I hope anyone out there can help me. Thx!

Hello again, sorry for not being too clear about what i need, but i need a plugin which will allow Chinese characters to display in my e-mail (Homail). I'm not interested in composing e-mails with Chinese characters, only in being able to read Chinese messages that are sent to me. For example, here is a sample of what i see when Chinese e-mails are sent to me.

If anyone can help me find a tool or plugin that can enable me to view the chinese characters in my emails that be great! Thank you very much! x.x.x

P.s. I've done all that control panel language stuff and the view, encoding thing but i'm still not able to read the Chinese emails. Please can someone help, thank you very much!

open the mail in internet explorer which contain chinese character...

right click on the page > choose encoding > More > chinese traditional (BIG 5)

install the language pack if the windows pop up.

Hey guys, thank you for all your help, i really appreciate it. I found the solution to my problem, thanks to you selew. My sister has actually been doing that when reading e-mails and she didn't even tell me.
