How do you rest the network connection counter in XP to "1"

My wireless network connections counter is upto 8 now and I would like to reset it.

I`m afraid not :<, when you create a new network connection in xp it is indicated with a number in the baloon popup when you hover over it`s icon in the bottom right of the start bar ie Wireless Network Connection 8. This occurs with standard Ethernet connections also. Each time a new connection is configured this number is incremented by one.
It is this counter that I wish to reset, I believe it is buried in the registry somewhere but despite some gooling I have been unable to locate where....
You can just right click on any network connection, select rename and rename it to whatever you want
