Have a look at http://www.thelawpages.com/sentencing/search.p hp?mode=1 and see what others have received for common assault. Find a good solicitor, he or she can present mitigation so you should get the least possible sentence. It will be a non-custodial sentence of sorts depending on your suitability and may have costs attached, again depending on your individual circumstances.
