Train Journey time

Can anybody help me. Trying to find out the Journey time by train from Barcelona to Alicante.

Trying to get to Benidorm, so I need to work out whether to go....

Barc>Benidorm by Coach....7:30 hours

Barc>Alicante>Benidorm by train (there are only a very few direct Barc to Bene) bearing in mind Alicante>Benidorm takes 1 hour.

It will take you 5 hours and 20 minutes to travel from Barcelona to Alicante, but even though there are very few direct services to Benidorm, the train may make a stop on its way to Alicante, and you could get off then.

I would not recommend taking a coach for that sort of distance, and the Spanish trains on the east coast are very clean and super-efficient.

Thank you Luckystrike....Looks like the time scale is the same so 50-50 choosing coach or train, but considering the train comments you made, then thats the way i'll do it--tipped the scales for me.

Hallo Adydb, check out the travel info from the German Railways. There's a train that gets you from Barcelona to Alicante in 4 hours 35 mins.
