My friend recently bought a buggy on ebay but it just stinks of smoke and she has tried all sorts including Febreze and leaving it outside for days on end to get rid of the smell but no luck.

Can anyone help with any alternative suggestions please? I have heard of combinations like vinegar and bicarbonate of soda but not completely sure of this or how much in terms of quantities can be used. Help!

Baking soda. Use lots all over the fabric and rub it in. Leave for a day or two then vacuum out as much as you can.

LOL thanks wonkon wonk for that gem! Thanks Ethel for the tip, will pass that on and see what happens.
Get one of those little round tubs of Neutrodol, sit in the buggy & cover with a large polythene bag or one of those garden furniture plastic covers from Poundland. May take a week or so, but I`ve found it has worked on a couple of cars I`ve had that ponged of smoke.
