How rewarding is it to work for RBS / Natwest? I am just curious as the RBS is hiring people and they are offering 13 weeks training. I would like to know if they take care of their employees well and what are the hours like? Thanks

If you are good at selling and like sales targets then go for it. I'm not sure why it takes 13 weeks to train someone up unless it is a specialised role that you haven't mentioned.

I worked for NatWest for 18 years and towards the end, couldn't wait to leave. I'm rubbish at selling and didn't want to keep trying to push stuff onto customers that they didn't want.

I worked for the Royal Bank for 8 and half years and I found them good to work for, but I guess it is like anything, it depends on the job you are doing and the people you work directly for. I am lucky to be a specialist so that I tend to work in a small team and to be reasonably respected. If you work in a larger area in not such a specialised role, your experience might be different. Certainly their terms and conditions are one of the best that I have ever seen. Might not be as good now that the annual bonus will most certainly be cut becasue the current market in banking. When I was there, we had at least 10% every year company bonus with personal bonus on top of that.

My OH works for a high street bank and he hates it,as CheekyChops said,they constantly push you to sell financial products and you have targets you must meet regarding this.It is quite a stressful and pressurised job.
