Im having major issues claiming jobseekers allowance when I am in fact a genuine job seeker!!

Ive just got back from travelling & have been loooking for a job for about 3 wks now.

They keep rejecting my application or asking 1000's more questions, its soooo annoying!

I have worked since I was 16 and have always paid my taxes which just adds insult injury! Anyone else had these issues??

I think you are going to find it even harder to get a job the way things are going at the moment with what has happened the past few days.

Its going to be a hard year ahead for everybody unfortunately.

I've never claimed anything like that milo, but maybe if you contacted a claims officer for a private interview, they'd be able to explain the system more clearly to you. I've heard that some sort of emergency payments can be made in certain cases, and perhaps you'd fall into this category.

Its annoying really,
because if you came to UK as an immigrant you would have all the benefits available to you, plus accommodation.

That's your problem milo1978, you are British, have paid your taxes but are not a foreigner.

I know, you wont believe the problem...Its that I made my initial application online!!

My local jobcentre have had endless problems processing it because it was done via the internet! Who would have thought it eh?!?!

Anyway I have tried again today, via the telephone & was advised to later claim for back payments...what a bloody palaver!!

Anyway had some interviews this week so hopefully!!
