Has anybody heard of or know anything about a Scottish Artist called Duncan McGill who was painting in the Edinburgh area, most notably Joppa, around the early part of 1958 ?

The artist you are after is Thomas George McGill Duncan born 1896 working out of Castle Douglas. Fought in trenches of WW1 at 24 yrs old, then enrolled in Edinburgh college of art, Became civil servant, painted in free time, became very accomplished , sought after and collectable. Painting still life 's and landscapes and seascapes in oil. retired to Portobello / Joppa in the 1950's.
