Painting Melamine doors

well, it's not really melamine but it has a shiny non-porous surface so I'm assuming I'd use similar paint. If I use a primer, can I then use normal gloss paint or do I also have to use special melamine paint?

Hi, never tried painting melamine surfaces myself, but have covered them with a vinyl material which was very successful. There is a paint on the market for this purpose though. Have a look at this site it may help you out.
