For the last few days eveytime I bend down and then stand up I've been getting dizzy. I could see 'stars' going round my head yesterday (hope you know what I mean!). I'm not standing up any quicker than I normally would. What is wrong with me?

See a Doctor and get your blood pressure checked
I had this problem for a little while CAJ. It was down to low blood pressure & was soon sorted out by my gp.

Good luck.

What makes your blood pressure change?
Beautiful girls do it for me.

I meant is it something to do with what you eat/stress/lack of sleep/illness etc?? Or can you be healthy and have your blood pressure just go up and down anyway?
Many questions.
1 Are you taking any medication?
2 How old are you?
3 is there any rotational element to your dizziness? e.g does the room spin around?
4 Are the attacks always associated with movements of the head.
5 In my opinion low BP as a primary cause of dizziness is extremely RARE,

1. Only the pill (Femodene)
2. 24
3. Yes (and sometimes my eyes cloud over with black and white fuzziness like you get when you can't get a channel on the tv)
4. Just when I stand up (I can move my head about when Im sat down and not get it
This explains a bit about low blood pressure, although your dizzy spells may not be due to that:

Always best to get it checked out by your gp.

I had a stomach bug last week so maybe its because of that although I thought I was over it.

I can't get an appointment at docs tomorrow as I can't get away from work in time. Then I go on hol on Tuesday, will have to see about an appointment on Monday.
I hope do you manage to see your gp before your hol's CAJ.

Have a great time.

Thanks smudge. I think I will try to as I don't want to be ill on hols! Hope you sort your eye problem (I saw your post but had no advice!)
You're welcome CAJ.
CAJ1, you may have difficulty getting a GP appointment on monday as its Bank Holiday. Are yousure you cant get tomorrow
If you have read the website given by smudge, you will see that low BP is always secondary to something else, which doesn't seem to be the situation with you. I would hazard a guess, that BP high or low has nothing to do with your symptoms. So what is the cause? No idea and as it has only happened for the past few days I should do nothing and just wait and see what transpires.
As I said in my earlier post, I was told the reason for my dizzy spells was due to low blood pressure.

This isn't of course the only cause, it could be a manner of things.

Again, good luck at the quacks & have fun on holiday CAJ1.
I tend to have normally low blood pressure, runs in the family, but it it drops even lower eg when I'm very run down or have been ill, I get very light headed which improves with my blood pressure improving.

You should have your blood pressure tested both standing and sitting to see if there is a difference caused by standing.
