TLC AMA is a Travel & Leisure Club who are in partnership with Vector Direct - Shopping Channel. If you bought an item from Vector Direct, the sales person would have asked you for your bank details in order to process your order. In addition to your Vector Direct purchase,  the sales person would have also asked you if they could send out some "free" information about the Travel & Leisure Club. This "free" information pack contains various money off  vouchers if you join their Leisure Club. What you will find in the small print in this "free" information pack is that if you do not return the pack to them within 21 days, they will automatically debit your credit/ debit card of 99.95 which is an annual membership fee for this club. There is no way this can be avoided because guess what, as Vector Direct have all your bank details, the debit is just processed through. I am taking TLC AMA to task about it. They asked me to send the pack back Recorded Delivery (which I did) and 3 weeks later  I am still battling to get my money back despite the fact they have told me they will refund my account for 99.95. Their is no refund for the cost of the postage. Their contact tel is 0870 9033 790. This is the first and last time I will deal with Vector Direct. Needless to say, I have had to put a stop on my cards to make sure they cannot scam me again!
Further to my answer posted on 15/2/2005, I am pleased to advise that after a long hard battle with TLC-AMA, they have finally credited my bank account with 99.95. If you wish any feedback on this, please let me know and I will be happy to help.
