I am reading the Encyclopedia article about Malta at http://encarta.msn.com/encyclopedia_761555566/Malta.html#endads.

There are characters that are not properly displayed, e.g. "a small group of islands€”Malta, Gozo, Kemmuna, Kemmunett, and Filfla€”located in the Mediterranean Sea" and "Malta’s gross domestic product".

I am using Windows Me, IE 6.0, and have tried different coding options in IE. How do I display this text properly?

You are right in that it is an encoding problem. IE needs to be set to unicode (utf-8) for that page. (although the page does change to that automatically on mine)

Thanks, that looks better now... but even with Unicode (UTF-8) there is still a problem in the sentence:

"Bronze Age peoples have been found in subterranean burial chambers near Raḩal did". What characters are missing there?

Rahal Gdid
