Recently on Scott Mills radio 1 show, mark chapman recommended a song. I can't remember the title or the song but I know it was a remix of a 1970's/80's song and that there were two different versions of it about to be released by different artists

He called in a request from prison?

Don't know what the two current songs are (weak dance tracks as I recall) but I think they sample Hall and Oates' "I Can't Go For That". Will do some hunting and try and confirm that.

The only song I've heard that sampled that particular Hall and Oates track is Sunrise.
Sorry, should have said Sunrise by Simply Red but that's about 18 months ago.

I can't remember the name of the artist, but the track is Waiting for a star to fall.

Hope this helps!

It's Boy Meets Girl
It's 'Waiting for a star to fall' by Boy meets Girl
I believe that song (waiting for a star to fall) has been remixed on the Mylo album - it is called "In your Arms" - pete tong played it last night about 4th track on - you can listen again to check if is the one you are after
