Easy access to broadband (ADSL, cable, satellite), dial-up, wireless hotspots etc in all but the most remote areas

In addition to Sequin's points, the British Universities are linked by their own super-fast network (JANET) and schools in England are in the process of being linked by a minimum 2MB broadband network (complete in some areas and being upgraded to 10mb).
