Broadband traffic limit.

I have just transferred to broadband and have a 256kbps service. The service guide states that there can be no more than 750Mb of traffic per day.

Does this limit apply to a straight midnight to midnight day or does it count 24 hours from the moment I turn on?

Is there any way that I can see how much of this limit has been used up each day?

Google for "bandwidth monitor" and you should find something suitable. I use http://www.lp23.com/bmextreme/ but there are plenty of others!
