I have been told my Vaillant Turbomax boiler needs to be filled with water as the reading is on 0.  I haven't been shown how to do this and neither Vaillant or the installers are available.

Can anybody send me instructions?

Thanks

I had this problem last year.  On the pipework underneath my boiler is a knob/tap type thing.  I turned this - slowly 'cos I didn't know if I was turning the right thing - and the pressure went up.

My boiler has worked fine ever since.

You can download installation and user guides from the Vaillant website (free registration required)

Just under the boiler you should see 2 pipes connected by a length of braided flxible piping, at one end of which is a small black plastic tap.  Turn this slowly and allow the pressure gauge to rise to about 2.5 and then close it off again.  That should do the trick but the question remains as to where the original pressure went.  Is there any sign of leakage from anywhere in your system?   Good luck.

Thanks for all your help!

I don't seem to have the flexible braided pipe so I presume I have got a different boiler than the booklets say!

However, by reading all of your advice, I managed to work out what to do and everything seems to be working OK now.

Thanks again!
