Media player playlist to itunes

I have downladed a song of the net but it automatically opened in windows media player and i added it to the playlist but its not in the main files and i cant find it to transfer to itunes and cant get it on there, i've been back to the website but there are no choices you can make to change where it opens. i had this problem the other day but dont remember how i did it

go to file on itunes and click on import ur music file should come up and it should be in there i did it yesterday and it worked

Thanks polly-dolly9 but that doesnt work as its not in my files i cant find it anywhere but in my playlist and they dont open in my files or onto itunes as they are not compatible

When in Windows Media Player, If you right-click on the music file in the Playlist and select 'Properties' this will display your music file location.
