get hold of its ear and bite it back. Then smack it on the nose. Hope ur little girl isn't teasing it or maybe the pup is jealous of the attention u give ur little girl.

Else, do what the 'dog whisperer' recommends: curl ur hand like so ur fingers are like prongs and stab the pup with ur fingers to mimic a bite everytime the pup bites
NO NO NO. Do not bite your puppy or smack it on the nose.
This will only make it bite more either through pain or fear. You don't say how old you puppy or little girl is, but I would not let a puppy play with a baby or toddler until both of them know how to behave with each other. If the puppy bites you, then make a yelping noise like another puppy would, and quickly withdraw your hand and ignore the puppy. This is how they learn when playing with each other or with their mum. Make sure the puppy has plenty of toys/chews to play with and chew on, as puppies need to chew to loosen their baby teeth and help the adult ones come through. Distract the puppy if it is playing rough and give it something to play with or chew on. Have a puppy play pen or cage so it has somewhere it can get away to sleep and rest away from the baby.
Wise advice from Lankeela.

Bite it, smack it on the nose, whatever next?? Apart from it being stupid and achieving nothing except a frightened and probably aggressive puppy, it will encourage your child to do exactly the same to the puppy and goodness only knows what would happen then - probably another dog labelled uncontrollable or dangerous and having to be either rehomed or even put down.

lock your little girl in a cupboard

that should do the trick
sorry
feed it.
If its a young pup and is just nipping i wouldnt worry to much yet. our pup nipped from the age of 8 weeks till about 13 weeks. We did exactly as lankeela suggests and would yelp loudly and move away from the pup/stop playing whenever he touched with his teeth at all - also gave loads of praise and fuss when he licked your hand instead.
He finally learnt and doesnt nip at all now.
puppy teeth can be really sharp though so i would supervise children and pups really closly
