Does anybody know what is required (non-specifically) to make money off of knowing a lot about socio-political history? Is there a certain course of study? What kind of jobs do historians get? I was just wondering because I love history much more than accounting.

Teaching is quite a good option if you can keep your head together. Just don't take the National Curriculum too much at its word
