I ve just split up with my wife of six months, we have a 3 year old and she is living in the house we both own. with out sounding greedy does anyone know what i am intitled to with seeing my son and money wise. many thanks

if the house is of a reasonable size then chances are you will continue paying for it until your child reaches 16 at least.

of course, you may be able to split things amicably and avoid battles over who gets what etc
Legally you do not have to pay the mortgage, unless a court order has been applied for and the judges rule you must carry on paying the mortgage.

As it stands you are entitled to 50% of the equity but if you dont pay the mortgage your entitlement will decrease.

You will be liable for maintenance though.
