The quote I have is a French translation:

"La diffrence entre un bon et un mauvais architecte rside en ce que le mauvais succombe toutes les tentations quand le bon leur tient tte."

something like:

"the difference between a good and bad architect is that a bad one yields to temptation when faced with a good one"

I'm not looking for your suggestions for translations, I'm just looking for the 'official' translation into English!

"The difference between a good and a poor architect is that the poor architect succumbs to every temptation and the good one resists."
'The difference between a good and a poor architect is that the poor architect succumbs to every temptation and the good one resists it.'
Is there an echo in here... in here... in here?

"...every temptation... resists it"

Perhaps we can philosophise over plural/singular duality.
