My son has got to replace the cat on his car. Is it worth getting the old cat from the garage to take to the scrap metal merchant for the Platinum content of the cat.

When I used to work in a garage a few years ago, there was a company who used to buy the scrap cats from us - can't recall their details, but pretty sure they'll be on Google.

They may give you more than a scrappy, but still worth taking it to one of them in any case
There's quite a lot of info on the web about scrap cats, seems they are worth quite a bit...........

Worth scrapping.
Where I live in Essex we get about 34 for a cat. I think kwik-fit offer you 20 for your old one when they fit a new one, but not sure so check first.
