I know the basics of Excel but i want to do more like, macros and linking files etc. Anybody know a good book that can guide me please? Must be plain English Or even a correspondence course?

There's enough in the help files in Excel to do most things, especially in the newer versions (which is what you want if you want to learn macros as the language has changed over the versions).
