I want to get a new laptop for the missus who is an avid second life player.
The laptop im looking at is dual core with 2gb memory and Intel GMAX3100 358 MB shared graphics. Would the graphics capability of this be able to cope with Second life at reasonable quality settings and speed. I know a dedicated graphics solution would be better but im o a tight budget of 400 pounds but she wont be doing any heavy gaming so will this be suitable for her needs. Thanks!!!

Always very hard to evaluate onboard graphics,as they are hard to compare to the graphic card specs for games that are usually given.
Minimum requirement for second life and vista are the Intel 945 chipset. You're laptop has the GME965 chipset,so i imagine it should handle it.(965,higher than 945,right?)
I would print out the second life system requirements from my link and take them with you to ask the supplier wether or not it will meet the requirements.
Or if ordering from the net,you could phone/e-mail first to get their opinion.
As i say,it seems as if it will, but no harm in checking.
