Converting audio from mono to dual

I just got a new mono TV for Xmas. Whenever I use headphones only the left headphone works i.e all the sound comes out of the left headphone, the right one is totally mute. Is there anything I can buy which will split the sound equally between the two headphones (i.e convert mono to dual)?
