in a huff is ok
7d huff, in relation to draughts , means "to remove from the board for failing to make a possible capture".
7d In a huff=resentful
If you 'huff' your opponent in the game of Draughts, you force him to make a move, usually taking one of your men, which then puts him in a very disadvantageous position.
