Hi. I have recently obtained the AOL Silver Broadband package at 17.99 per month, but I am thinking of upgrading to the gold Package, which is 22.99. Is there anyone out there who has experienced both, can you tell me whether it is worth it. I probably use my computer on average a couple of hours a day and so does my wife. Thanks in anticipation.

I don't know about AOL, but NTL up-graded me free for a trial period of 3 months (I think) then asked what I thought of it. I never noticed any difference whatsoever! i use mine abought 5 hours per day - no problems

personally i wouldn't go near aol full stop!  everyone i know have had weird stuff happen and loads of problems wihen they had aol installed!
What sort of stuff tracy? I've been on aol for about 4 years now (last 6 months on broadband) and I don't have any problems.
Once AOL is installed on your PC, there's no getting rid of it! I repair PC's for a living and 90% of all problems regarding internet connections are down to AOL! AOL is painfully slooooooooooooooooooow, that's my first problem with it. Friends of mine that have AOL don't get all their e-mails...whenever I send out a fwd: or an e-mail to a selection of people, it's always the ones with AOL that comes back and says "message delayed" followed a couple of days later with "message delivery failed" People go for AOL as they get taken in by the advertising...for the money, AOL is slow, problematic and expensive...when in doubt, go with BT, they aren't the best (in my opinion) but they are a million times better than AOL!
