hopefully she will not put herself in any dangerous situations, obviously she knows there are a lot of evil people out there.make sure she is in contact with you at all times [well as much as possible],get her to contact you at least twice a week and know her locations.im sure she will really enjoy her trip.try not to worry too much and she will come back a much wiser and confident person.....
Two of my daughters did the same but separately.

The oldest went with her boyfriend, now her husband and went to India, Malaysia, Thailand, Ozzie and new zealand. Learnt a lot and now live in Ozzie with 2 kids.

My youngest went with a friend to Mexico, USA, Jordan, Singapore and Ozzie, where she met and married her now husband.
As long as she is aware of the dangers and keeps in contact with you and friends she should be OK.

There is a web-site where kids can keep in touch with family and friends, but cant remember the name.
Will have a search tomorrow for you, as I know how concerned you are, as I was the same.
My daughter did this a few years ago. She booked as many trips etc as she was sure of before she went & her first night accommodation. She went with a friend, but I made her promise that if they did separate at any time she would make sure she was always with someone - ie never travelling alone, or even visiting bars alone. She emailed every 2 or 3 days & let me know when she was off on a trip & would be unable to contact me & for how long. Luckily she is & always has been extremely sensible & she had a great time! I'm sure your daughter will too!
