Why do I find this quite scary? I had a teacher in school who was fantastically nice, and everyone loved him senseless, but he freaked me out because it always seemed so disgustingly sinister. The same thing now with Lawrence thingy-Bowen off Changing Rooms. So nice, yet really scary. WHY!?!

I think sometimes people who are nice all the time come across as false and insincere. That said, I have a pal who is just the nicest person in the world, and everyone who knows her loves her. Maybe deep down we're jealous flashpig, cos we can't be nice all the time ourselves!!?? x
I don't think LLBowen comes across as being particularly nice. I know what you mean though. I find excessive niceness a bit sinister too. There's an inbuilt alarm that tells me not to trust them, like salesmen.

Quite a few people are like you, including many of my friends. One of my friends turned down a lad who was asking to date her basically because he was far too nice! I think sometimes being nice all the time gets a bit annoying as they are like it all the time. I prefer people who are not too nice so when they do say something nice to you it means something. Where as if its said all the time it just gets boring.

I do also agree that being too nice can look quite sinister!
