I once parked my car in a different car park to the one I usually used. When I returned to where I thought the car was, I panicked because it wasn't there. Thinking it had been nicked, I rang the police to report it. Halfway through the call I suddenly remembered. Boy, did I feel foolish. (Stupid, stupid woman).

At my mother's funeral, I met up with a guy who I hadn't seen for 20+ years, we were best mates as a kid and he had become gorgeous...
I went to introduce him to my husband and couldn't remember he was my husband or his name, he had to prompt me..
absolutely mortifying, I blame the stress..lol
I very nearly said something rude then but that's not really for here :)
Sorry chappie for chatting on your thread :)
Not really forgetful as much as star-struck...lol Was at a book reading by my favourite writer, John Irving at the Edinburgh Festival. Got in the queue to have my book signed, and by the time it got to my turn, I was shaking and sweating....He asked me how my name is spelled....And I couldn't remember!!! Oh the shame.....lol
Amonty, that happens to me all the time. I'm not very good with names at best, but it's worse when I've had a drink...If I happen to bump into someone I know, I just call them "pet, mate, sweetie". Very embarrassing when I have to introduce them to someone else!
One morning I woke up, had my shower, got dressed, had breakfast and drove to work..... wow I thought, it's lovely and quiet today, virtually no traffic, must be a school holiday..... got half way to work before I twigged that it was a Sunday (and I don't usually work Sundays lol)......

Jugglering, I bet it was a great feeling when you realised you could go home and back to bed!
lol chappie - yep, but not as good a feeling as it would have been if I'd not had to get out of bed in the first place !
I once forgot to collect my daughter from school......change of routine, extra work to cover holiday....she's 20yo now & knows her own way home! lol.
My step mum went out shopping with her new baby son in a huge silver cross carriage built pram. she parked him up outside the butchers........a while later at home she was flooded with breast milk & the baby? Yes he was still asleep outside the butchers! Ah! Yesteryear, when we didn't lock our doors & children were safe in a pram outside the shop.......
