smari spyware? removal

can anybody give me any advice about smari... my daughter who lives away attending college. has contacting me saying her laptop is sending advertising to friends. one of her friends spotted something called smari77.ik5...... avg. ..superantispyware etc do not find it how can she get rid of this annoyance.... thanks in advance

Adaware from http://www.lavasoft.com is a great spyware remover and is free. Spybot search and destroy is also excellent. Google should be able to provide you with a link.

From my experience, there's not much these two can't remove between them.
