there are two small about a week and a half old chickens near my house and their mother who looked after them has disappeared and there are feathers everywhere so, its obvious whats happened. The chickens have survived one night but i read somewhere they need 90F to survive should i take them home where i have 2 cats but i can build an enclosure or do i leave them please help soon.

Hi animad.... perhaps if you tried your local animal rescue they might be able to give you some info.I'ts a problem of what to do for the best.Good luck.
roast them, mmmmmmmm fresh chicken for sunday lunch, try a bbq too

hi garner well my mum works were they were and one of the peoples mum used to own some so she thought it was best to give them to her as they were cold and she knew how to look after them. i was quiste dissapointed but it was for the best.

chickens are lovely cooked in the oven, good protein too

try it, u`ll love it. try with mayo and salad too, mmmmm

try a hot chicken from tesco first and then grab the chickens, knock them over the head like u mean it, so they feel no pain, strip em and eat em. have fun

Oh my god velvet lady! Animad has just told you she was a vegetarian (as am i) yet you continue to go on about eating chickens. Also people live fine without eating meat so wheater or not they are good protien, Quorn is a replacement that works!
It probably was a fox or something that ate the mother, and i know that so dont slag me about my user name on this issue, but the way nature deals with that is probably more humane than the way humans do!
so why dont you get a life!

thank you Wild_Foxx unfortunately i have been informed that the chckens have both died i think it was because all they fed the chickes were sugary biscuits.
