Is it good or bad, well worth the money or a waste of money, is it reliable?

I currently am with pipex, broadband and telephone but it's costing me an arm and a leg

I like it.

Thanks Ethel do you know what it would cost for broadband and phone together?
I use Vigin and for basic TV package, Broadband, and telephone I pay 33.25 per month. I am also very satisfied with them.
I have used ntl / virgin for several years for broadband, very satisfied.
I'm on virgin broadband and am very impressed with it

Some of my friend will actually drive to see me if they need to download anything really large as it is so much faster than most dsl broadband

shylock what does "basic tv package" consist of?

Thanks
You don't need a phone line with Virgin - you can use Skype or other Voip technology.

I have a Skype phone that looks and behaves like any other phone and doesn't need my pc to be switched on. It's not connected to my pc.

That saves the cost of the telephone landline.
it's fine until something goes wrong. you cannot report broadband faults on their freephone number, but can only use their "0906" number (apparently because too many users were using the free service to troubleshoot their pc set-up) - and despite what they tell you, this 1-50 a minute charge is still applicable even when the fault is in their box in the street, as it was for me last week.
Hi mushroom25, next time you need to dial an 0906, 0870, 0844 number etc.. try checking out www.saynoto0870.com I know you can't do this if your broadband is down but it lists all landline and freephone numbers for virtually all companies, i have sky but don't use their 0870 number - i found several landline and freephone numbers on this site, it's worked for every company i've tried so far! I've just checked and it has dozens of alternative numbers for Virgin!
My daughter`s just signed up with Virgin, 15.50 per month for 2mb broadband, phone line, weekend calls and basic tv. Not sure, but I think basic tv is something like freeview they said something about 40 channels.
I`m on the same package, but pay an extra 7.95 for 24/7 calls. I didn`t bother with tv package even though it was included as I`m tied up with sky tv for now. I`ve been with virgin for 9 months now with no problems, and it`s unlimited downloads, unlike bulldog where download limit was 2GB.
Mushroom - I have a number to report faults via my mobile at 8p per minute.

As I've only had to use it once in three years - 2 minute call- it's not a problem.
