Hey!

My Granma was asking me to put some music on her MP3 player. She said she likes Chopin, and wants something that is piano solo but with an orchestra or something in the background?

She also said she likes... I think it's Balero? What is a famous piece by Balero, or some famous pieces? She was saying that one of them was used on that Dancing on Ice programme or something.

Any other ideas would be really nice!

Hello , you can find that piece on itunes , or just ask for it in a shop , it's really very famous and well known , Torvil and Dean won gold at the winter olympics skating to that music .

Thank you!

She also mentioned something about Julian Lloyd Webber on the cello - any ideas of some pieces?
Coincidentally, that is also based on a Paganini theme, it is probably...

Variations on a theme of Paganini - Julian Lloyd Webber

More commonly known as the South Bank Show theme.

Sorry, just to check I have the right one, does Bolero start with snare drums in the background? The only way I can think of identifying it!
Yep
The Warsaw Concerto by Richard Adinsell is good, similar to Rachmaninov.

You could also try anything by Ludovico Einaudi.
