Mongrels. They are mongrels! Why do people insist on giving 'designer' names to what are in effect more crossbreeds which will probably end up swelling the ranks of the unwanted in the rescue homes around the country.

By all means get a crossbreed, but by 'requesting' certain crosses, you are making people do these crosses intentionally in the belief that they can charge an extortionate amount of money for them.

There is no such breed as a Jackadoodle, Labradoodle,
or even the Shih Tzxu x Poodle - more commonly known as a Shiht Poo!
Try visiting your local rescue centre - they could well have lots of 'Jackadoodle' dogs!

try looking at Horse and Hounds on line. Classifieds-dogs for sale. Think I saw some there.
Have just looked for you some in county durham 450.00
will deliver. Should think they would at that price!!!!

hey, thnx sallybb. really kind of u to do that! county durham's not too far. much appreciated
Hi, please please please....never have a puppy delivered.....

When you buy a puppy you should at the very least see it with it's Mum! Any dog that is delivered is more than likely 'farmed'...... PLEASE DO NOT ENCOURAGE THIS TYPE OF TRADE!!!!

Don't waste your breath divegirl, doesn't seem like the other posters on this thread share our concerns.

i was only asking a question and am an animal lover and would do no harm to any animal. it was a genuine question and i feel i did not deserve that backlash from certain individuals who seem to have "issues" and should use other means of venting their frustration.
No offence intended joolzy, just that we get so many questions posted on here from people who do not appreciate or understand the situation with dog breeding and they only add to the misery caused by buying dogs from unscrupulous breeders who are only in it for the money and not for the good of the breeds (or crossbreeds!).

Genuine dog breeders spend so much time planning litters and studying their dogs blood lines, often not making any money by the time they have bred and reared a litter, done all the health checks and carefully vetted new homes, that to see people making hundreds of pounds just by mating their pet to another dog of any breed (or the same breed but not knowing even if they are related) does make us sad and angry. To then have them called posh 'designer names' and charged even more than the two purebred breeds would fetch makes it even worse. Still, more fool the people for being taken in that they have a new unique breed that cost a fortune!

high horse alert!!!!! damned hippies...think that everyone who breeds dogs and isn't a member of the kennel club is an "unscrupulous breeder"
all the poster is asking for is if anyone knows any breeders he/she doesnt want your bloody opinion on how a dog is reared! of course its important but dont you have better things to do!!!

Also they are not mongrels, just because something is cross bred doesnt make it a mongrel. Im a farmer so I know about this stuff.
Mmmm, never liked high horses myself.

Just for general Information - I got a 'jackadoodle' (a CROSS BREED, I know Ian) - from a wonderful place in East Scotland - Angus. Parents were seen along with the litter - place spotlessly clean - NOT overly expensive - breeder paid for 8 weeks pet plan insurance on my behalf- arranged it over the phone while I was there - to cover the pup in the early days.

I think what I want to say to those arrogant self-opinionated individuals who jumped down the original poster's throat - BACK OFF - we ain't all ingnorant idiots who want a designer accessory! We are dog lovers - I happen to be a dog lover with an allergy to their hair - Jackadoodles don't cause a severe a reaction due to the poodle element. I love Jack Russells......

Peace on earth - I love my Jackadoodle, and she loves me!
lankeela your attitude is terrible,i have 6 jackadoodle pups and i know they are mongrels ,but aint it strange the vet put on their certificate jackadoodle ,,i also have a throw back of a jackrussel which was a mongrel till about 5 years ago ,by the way the only reason i gave my jack russel a litter was because the vet told me to give her one ,and the pups are all going to good homes trust me ,i stay just outside dundee and i know quite a few people with jackadoodles and they are really good natured ,unlike your self ,are you from a family of inbreeds ,ie royalty ,the so called pure breeds are dumber than dumb ,end of .by the way im giving the pups away i aint out to exploit people for a fast buck ?
