Roundhead?
Redcoat?
Redcoats or Lobsters ?
Redcoat - used until the introduction of khaki - Kiplin's poem "Tommy Atkins" still uses the term at the time of the Boer War. Neither Roundhead nor Lobster ever transferred to British troops in general.

There weren't many "British" soldiers; it was the English war and the combatants were manily English too.
Tommy?
