Not possible, I'm afraid. You either need wires that run to your house, or you go mobile.
Wires means a telephone line or cable (Virgin Media). Wireless is, well, wireless.
For your heavy usage, wireless is going to cost you a shed-load of money.
Im about 80% sure that sky can do this for you, you would need to pay a one off fee for the set up because of not having a fixed operational telephone line (pretty sure its 25 quid) then you have the options of either 2, 8 or 16 mb broadband, the 2 and 8 have monthly usage limits but the 16 is unlimited, pretty sure the costs are free, 5 and 10 per month.
The problem is not all the broadband options are availble
to all parts of the country so you may be limited on your choice of speed.
I will check the connection part tomorrow and let you know.
Tiscali can now offer a fairly good package that you might be interested in. It DOES entail having a phone line, but there's no charge for it, so to speak. You can get an 8gb, anytime talk package, with free line rental and free calls to various countries, for 19. 99p per month. This gives you unlimited internet access, and apart from a one-off payment of 30 for the set up - that's all you pay.
