Hi, i am hoping someone will be able to help us.
We have all been given new contract's that start from next month, which will mean we will be on a lower salary as we will be doing less hours (which has upset most of the staff). On our old contracts it states that we 'sleep in' which we do not get paid for, on our new contracts nothing is mentioned about 'sleeping in' - as we will be doing 12 hour shifts which will include waking nights. Due to the company being unable to employ the amount of staff and/or train the new staff up they are unable to specifiy when we will actually be starting the new shift patterns - we have been advised to complete over time sheets for the difference between the hours of the old contract and the new until such time the shifts actually change.
What we want to know is are they allowed to swop between the 2 contracts to suit themselves??????
I hope someone can help as we cant help but feel we are being ripped off!!

I was alright not being paid to sleep in as it was in my old contract, but now they have given us a new contract we feel they are taking the mick not paying us.
