I will be traveling in Europe next fall for 5 weeks. All Saints Day, November 1st, is celebrated in most countries. My question is: Are shops, tourist sites, churches and restaurants open? Or, is this a better day to plan traveling from one place to another?
I think that we can simplify the answer to this question if you let us know which countries you will be visiting and which ones you are likely to be in or travelling between on and around November 1st (which is a Saturday).
In most if not all of Spain and I think Italy too the whole country comes to a stop Shops banks etc are all closed and transport can be very restricted so beware
Another consideration, depending on where travelling, is that tourist attractions may have seasonal opening variations and so might be shut in November anyway.
