quick q regarding car accident

guys,

for argument sake basically... my mate says it isnt but i say it is.

for the record - i havent done it and am dead against any form of animal cruelty .

but i was under the impression it is illegal in the higway code to drive off if you run a dog over ?

if so please can i have a link to prove him wrong .

Yes you are right in the case of a dog. You should stop and furnish you details to the owner if present if not then you should inform the police.
No its not illegal as i ran over a dog and when i reported i was told by the police you don't need to report it now. Also when some1 reversed into the side of my car , you only report it now if they are uninsured. Anything else they aren't interested but they'll spend all their funds on cars as they are easy targets.
