I am currently researching the discoveries of concealed objects that were purposly hidden within buildings. These objects were dried cats, chickens, witch bottles and more commonly shoes. These items date from around 15 to 20th centuries. Many scholars beleive that these items were hidden in the manner for superstitious reasons and this most certainly seems the case with the witch bottles. Has anybody found anything like this in their house during renovation? Or any builder out there, have you ever found such an item during work??
Many thanks

Interesting - just searched the net and some people claim that if you have both crying boy and crying girl up then the crying girl counteracts the curse. Mad cos our pics were hung up in a huge old room off the kitchen that used to be an old pool room. It was just a stock room for years but these pictures were there when we bought it. They were huge and hung right next to each other!!! Really spooky stuff.
